Partnership
One of the most counter-cultural things you can do is become an engaged member of a faithful local church. In our flighty and noncommittal age, neither non-Christians nor Christians are naturally inclined to find a place to put down roots and make long-standing objective commitments for the good of others.
Scripture talks about how believers are members of a body. In this same way, church membership is a public declaration of your commitment to this body.
In the Bible this is called a covenant. Partnership is one way to raise the flag of faith. You state before God and others that you are part of this local body of believers.
